The pale, lively Akemi was produced with Viura grapes. It's very perfumed and fruit-driven despite its five months in oak barrels.
It was selected by sushi master Félix Jiménez from the Kiro Sushi restaurant in Logroño, Rioja, and bottled with a Japanese label. It’s name that means brightness and beauty. He says it's “a white from Rioja with a Japanese spirit.” The wine has a very intense nose that's perfumed and lightly tropical, and a soft palate of moderate acidity denoting a warm year.
