 90% Tempranillo, 10% Garnacha

Mi Lugar is made exclusively with the best berries from each plot. When the grapes arrive at the winery, they are sorted by hand and then handled with minimal intervention to protect the integrity of the grapes, must, and ultimately the wine. A five day pre-fermentation maceration is followed by a slow, gentle, cool fermentation. 

The wine spends 18 months in high quality barrels: 20 percent American oak and 80 percent French oak, each with a differing level of toast. The wine ages another six months in stainless steel tank to further develop.

The nose is ripe red and black fruits with spice and smoke hints. The fruit on the palate leads into balsamic notes with liquorice, rosemary and thyme. The wine is driven by acid with silky , elegant tannins.
