Morgon is considered one of the best growing areas with some of the most age worthy wines in all of Beaujolais. One red grape, Gamay, is the star of the region. Gamay is known for bright, crisp red and black fruits: cranberries, strawberries, and blackberries. With its high acids and light tannins, it's a perfect red wine match for seafood.
Dating back to at least 1030, Château de Pizay is on of Beaujolais’s oldest properties.
